Who not to call?

Before deciding a venue or even a planner, the most difficult decision a family has to make are the number of guests who will be invited for the wedding - from both sides! Most families face this hurdle once they have booked a property and the fight over rooms for the bride's side and groom's side tend to dictate the narrative of the planning. While you don’t have to have a final guest list until a bit later, when thinking about how to plan a wedding step by step, coming up with an estimated guest count early on is important. Decide the number of guests from both sides and then leave the rest to your planner.

In order to figure out how your wedding will look, the wedding family needs to identify how much to spend on it. It might not be the most fun part of the process, but it’s a task that really needs to be completed first. The last thing you want is to fall in love with a venue, vendor or jewellery and realize it’s completely out of range.

Where & When
aka Venue & Season

4

Every couple has pictured the big day in their minds - an intimate rustic ceremony in the middle of the forest or having to say your vows on a turtle beach. The wedding family must start looking at the dates which suit their schedules as well as what season will be the best for their dream wedding. Typically, the months ranging from November to March are the most popular for weddings in this part of the world; however, budget friendly weddings can look at October and April for great deals. It is also very important to first hand visit the venue for both families to judge whether the venue - the size/approach/distance from airports/quality of food meet their requirements.

Working with our design team, it is important to create a story and a concept for the wedding before the first communication goes out to the guests. To begin the process,  the logo & hashtag need to be finalized in order to start sending out the Save the Dates, and subsequent messages to guests.

Creating a Fairytale

Book those Vendors

A typical Indian wedding has up to 50 vendors involved with services of over 200 people required for one to help create the dream wedding. That may seem like a lot, but it’s important to hire enough people to ensure the smooth running of the festivities. With your vision in mind, we will recommend vendors who will fit your requirements.

Remember that this process should be continuing from the day you decided to get married; however, with six months to go, we need to have a final guest list to ensure a smooth RSVP process as well as ticketing, visa and other requirements guests may have. As mentioned, we need to keep the capacity of the  venue in mind, and not invite more people than the space can handle.
